Good used condition in leather case. 1940's SAYMON-BROWN Rangefinder RF w/Leather Case This rangefinder can be used for focusing on objects from 2.5 feet to infinity. This is a double image rangefinder with an external distance scale reading in feet. Designed to be used with cameras not having a builtin RF including many of the 35mm cameras of the 1940's or earlier. Rangefinder's ends could be inserted into the accessory shoe of many cameras of this period. To measure the distance from you and your subject, you look into the viewfinder and see a double image. Rotate the large wheel back and forth until the images coincide. Then read the distance from the scale on the RF wheel and set this distance on your camera lens. Rangefinder works (but hard to see second image) and is in very good condition showing minor wear. Comes with original leather case.
