LEICA M Mount 90mm Elmarit Telephoto/Portrait 2.8 Lens 1959 Leitz 1:2.8/90. This lens is in good working order: focus is smooth, the aperture blades are dry and move freely, and the RF mechanism is accurate.

I have used this on my own M cameras with great results. Cosmetically the lens shows signs of light use with some marking to the alloy. The lens glass is clean and clear: no fungus or separation are visible. There are a few specks of dust inside and slight haze as you would expect from a lens of this age. Could benefit from a service.

There are very light scratches from cleaning on the front lens element surface. These are barely visible unless the light is shone directly onto them sideways. You can clearly see them in the last photo above. This is quite normal and will barely affect image quality. The lens head can be removed to use with the Visoflex system.

The lens comes with modern reproduction rear cap. Special Note for Cameras and related items.

I take many detailed images of each item so you can visually judge the cosmetic condition and see if there is any obvious damage (larger versions of the images are below: scroll down) Cameras and vintage photographic equipment is tested where possible (basically) and briefly described, any faults detected are mentioned: however unless stated no cameras have been tested with film- or professional diagnostic equipment. These items come from my personal collection- collected over the last 35 years. Such vintage items are only described and their most basic and important features noted. Tiny imperfections, flaws, specks of dust etc- may occur and not be described or mentioned. Issues that can only be found when film is run through a camera may not show up.

I use the best options to post that are reliable- but also affordable to you. This is a hobby only for me but I take care to make sure everything runs smoothly.
