JUPITER-9 F2/85mm Lens m 39, Vintage Soviet Lens
JUPITER-9 F2/85mm Lens m 39, Soviet Lens. The M39 lens mount, also similar to the Leica Thread Mount (LTM) Jupiter-9 for Kyiv cameras is a very successful portrait lens, although it requires adaptation for use with SLR cameras. Its strength lies in good sharpness and contrast, pleasant calm bokeh and compactness, which allows you to always take it with you. It should be remembered, however, that Jupiter-9 does not cope well with more general tasks than portrait photography: it is inconvenient and poor at macro photography, and not good enough at photographing landscapes. The lens is designed for use on rangefinder cameras only and has a working distance of 28.8 mm. This means that it can only be fully used on mirrorless cameras with the appropriate adapter.
On SLR cameras, this lens only works as a macro lens. It is not suitable for portrait and landscape photography. Relative opening 1: 2,0. Field of view 29 °. Resolution (center / edge) 30/18 lines / mm.
7 lenses in 3 groups. 15 petals of an iris diaphragm. Size Ø 68 × 80 mm. Glasses are honest and transparent without chips and without scratches. No fungus and no dust inside.
